Useful & Essential Links

There is a vast and continually developing literature on every aspect of elm disease, much of which is freely available online.

The purpose of this brief links section is solely to support the substantive descriptions of elm cultivars by (a) giving objective views on their adaptation potential in this country; (b) providing overviews of the breeding programmes which produced them; and (c) setting out the evidence which supports their claims to resist the disease.

In the case of trees included on this site for which resistance data have not been published, the Wikipedia link at the foot of each clone-specific page gives the most dependable guidance available.
